Life as an international student in Strasbourg

My name is Mirella, I’m a medical student. I’m from the University of Brescia in Italy. I’m here in Strasbourg for a semester as part of an Erasmus+ programme

Why did you choose the University of Strasbourg for your exchange?

I wanted to gain some experience abroad. I chose Strasbourg because it’s a very international and European city, with the European Parliament and all the other institutions.

How would you describe settling in at the university?

It was very easy to settle in at the University of Strasbourg because there are plenty of opportunities for sport, shows and free events for students. I met lots of international students and it was very easy to make friends.

What advice would you give to a student considering a study abroad programme at the University of Strasbourg?

Strasbourg is a lively, compact city and there’s plenty to do. You won’t get bored, and it’s also a city with lots of international students.

Are you happy with your decision to study abroad at the University of Strasbourg?

Yes, of course! I think I’ve had the best moments of my life here in Strasbourg.

It was my first experience abroad and here in Strasbourg, it was perfect!
