Strasbourg, capital of Christmas

Le Christkindelsmärik

Christkindelsmärik, or 'Market of the Christ Child', is the name given in Alsatian dialect to Strasbourg's traditional Christmas market. First held in 1570, it is one of the oldest in Europe and for a long time the only one in France.

At Christmas, as you stroll through the illuminated streets and alleys, the city is transformed into an enchanted setting. It's a magical stroll for everyone.

Take a stroll around the city and discover the various Christmas markets in the many places: Broglie, Cathédrale, Château, Grimmeissen, Kléber, Marché-aux-Poissons, Temple Neuf, Saint-Thomas, Benjamin Zix, on the terrace of the Palais Rohan and on rue Gutenberg and rue des Hallebardes.

In total, more than 300 chalets await you!
