How to file your taxes in France?

Filing a tax return every year is compulsory when living in France, whether you are taxable there or not. Moreover, you may need your tax notice for a lot of administrative procedures (10 year card and citizenship applications, school and canteen for the kids, etc.). This year, the tax return campaign starts on 10th of April, and your Euraxess Centre is here to help you through it

  • You are a foreign PhD Student or researcher living in Strasbourg?
  • You arrived in France in 2024 and you want to know how to declare your income?
  • Or you have been here for longer but you still have questions about your tax return or the fiscal system in France? Please note: If you have a grant for abroad and are planning to stay in France only for a year, you do not have to file your tax return.

Join us for our workshop with the Tax Office of Strasbourg.

They will be available to answer any question you may have and help you file your tax return for the first time. This event will be held in English and in French, and is open to International PhD Students and Researchers, and their spouses.

It will consist in 1) a general presentation and 2) optional individual appointments with the Tax Office agents.
