The academic year is off to a great start! This Friday, September 6, marked a first for the 300 international students coming to study at the University of Strasbourg: they were welcomed at the European Parliament (EP).
Seated in the deputies’ chairs, the students were greeted by the Director, Mme. Irina Simion and Vice President of International Relations of Unistra, Mme. Irini Jacoberger, as well as the Head of the Conference Service, Mme. Daniela Senk, and the Director of Communication of the EP, mme. Julie Verney.
A short conference gave them insight into the workings of Europe, followed by an informal session about Unistra and life in Strasbourg. The rest of the morning was spent touring one of our European capital’s emblematic institution.
The International Relations Department provided lunch, giving the students a chance to get to know each other before heading off for a fun scavenger hunt around Strasbourg. The day wrapped up with an awards ceremony.
A day full of new experiences and good feelings!
The International Relations Department warmly thanks all the students for their participation and wishes them great success in their new academic adventure.
