Espace Avenir is pleased to invite you to the fourth Espace Avenir ciné-débat, based on the film AFTER WORK, directed by Erik Gandini and shown at the STAR cinema (27 rue du jeu des enfants, 67 000 Strasbourg).
Exploring new perspectives on the future of work
Screening followed by an exchange with Baptiste Giroult, Psychologue de l'Éducation nationale, trained in occupational psychology and ergonomics.

Synopsis:

A brief exchange in AFTER WORK somehow sums up the ambivalence of the word "work" that this film so brilliantly portrays: "How are you? - I'm working." Taken out of context, this answer could mean a million things... Giving voice to a wide range of people, from a delivery driver to an heiress, Erik Gandini decodes the world of work and its possible futures.
Winner of numerous international awards (Visions du Réel, Hot Docs, CPH Dox...), this documentary is the result of a research project at the Stockholm University of the Arts. It brings together academics, experts and collaborators from all over the world, making it both a sensitive work and an argumentative resource. It's also a visually stunning film, with the director teaming up with Fredrik Wenzel, the cinematographer of two other Swedish films that have won the Palme d'Or at Cannes (The Square in 2017 and Sans filtre in 2022).

A screening in collaboration with Best Impact Movie.
