The European Centre for Quantum Sciences (CESQ) was officially inaugurated by the University of Strasbourg and the CNRS, with the support of the Grand Est Region and the Eurometropolis, on Monday, October 16th.
It is a state-of-the-art facility designed to address challenges related to information storage and climate change through quantum science. The CESQ aims to establish itself as a center of excellence in France, attracting talent and fostering collaboration in the field of quantum sciences. It extends beyond quantum physics, encompassing interdisciplinary areas such as chemistry, materials science, photonics, and computing. The facility highlights the significance of quantum technologies in addressing future challenges and represents a significant Franco-German cooperation endeavour.
