To celebrate the 10 years of intercultural exchange that this building has witnessed, the event featured activities centred around the (re)discovery of French culture, along with a sweet and savoury buffet, topped off with a cake which candles were blown out by all the guests!
Thanks to a personal intercultural passport given to them upon arrival, international students were also able to learn more about the cultures of their fellow students throughout the evening.
They were then invited to share their vision of international and interculturality through words and expressions that are meaningful to them on our “Collaborative MUI” wall:
A "Collaborative MUI" has been set up in the building’s entrance hall and will remain there until the end of the MUI anniversary celebrations. Feel free to add your word or expression in any language you like!
This wall is designed to give a tangible expression of how the people who pass through, work in, and live at the MUI perceive interculturality and international exchange.
We also collected feedback from the students who attended, which was overwhelmingly positive. Both the activities and the buffet were greatly enjoyed and helped create a warm, friendly atmosphere throughout the evening. The event also offered participants the chance to discover — or rediscover — the MUI and everything it has to offer to international students.
