On Thursday, February 5, the first international buddy programme evening of the second semester took place at the Maison Universitaire Internationale, under the theme of Mardi Gras. The event brought together around fifty international and local students, offering a friendly and welcoming opportunity to meet each other.
Each participant took on a character and tried to guess the identities of others, encouraging conversations in a fun and carnival-like atmosphere. They also took part in a quiz about the origins and traditions of Mardi Gras, with the chance to win prizes at the end of the activities.
The participation of one of our student ambassadors helped facilitate discussions throughout the evening and allowed participants to share fun facts about their culture, further enriching the intercultural atmosphere.
Participants also enjoyed a gourmet crêpe bar, where they could choose their own toppings, along with hot and cold drinks, which helped extend conversations in a relaxed and friendly ambiance.
Overall, the festive mood, the variety of activities, and the buffet were greatly appreciated by the students, who highlighted the friendly atmosphere and their enjoyment of meeting new people. It was a successful evening that provided a perfect start to the second semester of the international buddy programme.
