On Thursday, March 5, 2026, the European Parliament, in partnership with the International Relations Office (DRI) of the University of Strasbourg, ESN Strasbourg, and Les Jeunes Européens, hosted a European Pub Quiz on women’s rights at the bar-café La Planque.
Around thirty international students joined this friendly event, which ran from 6:30 to 8:30 PM. Upon arrival, each participant received a tote bag filled with goodies.
The evening began with a first interactive quiz led by the European Parliament, focusing on the great female figures of European history. Students tested their knowledge while learning about inspiring figures who shaped history and advanced women’s rights across Europe. The top three participants were awarded a variety of prizes.
After this first part, a break allowed students to enjoy a drink and a sweet-and-savory buffet made with local products. During this networking moment, ESN Strasbourg hosted a “human bingo” activity following the same theme to encourage interactions between international students and the organizers.
The evening then continued with a second quiz, this time hosted by Les Jeunes Européens. Slightly more challenging than the first one, it once again rewarded the top three participants with different prizes.
Highly engaged in the different activities offered, students helped create a lively and welcoming atmosphere. The event ended on a high note, with participants leaving happy, having enjoyed a fun, interactive evening filled with learning, exchanges, and a few gifts.
